Anyone having one after their reception? FH and I are thinking about it now...

We had a morning ceremony, so we hosted a bowling after party at a nearby bowling alley after the reception. Everyone went all dressed up ( I went in my dress). I think people liked that more than the wedding.

Fh and I are going back to our hotel..his sister and his parents are also staying at the same hotel..we are trying to round people up but so far nothing...my side is staying at another hotel because it's cheaper..only by $25!! So that annoyed me! But all that matters is that Fh and I will be together!!

Im sure we will ..what we've done at some of our friends weddings is gone back to the OOT hotel or the hotel where the bride&groom stayed.

We are also having a day wedding and are planning on having one at the pub of the hotel we are staying at. It's open to the public so I was just going to order some food and let people do what they want. I literally just posted on BHB asking how you invite people. Should I have put it in the invite since it is a few towns away from the RH? Or is it just word of mouth?

We sent out an evite to the 'kids' and said everyone is welcome. We had around 70 people rsvp yes, but ended up with almost 100 people there! Luckily, we had reserved one entire section of the bowling alley, so people just took turns bowling.

Thats what I figured we'd do too.....

Where did everyone stay? FH keeps telling me we are staying at the red roof inn, but I know he made reservations at the garden city hotel...

Our Reception ends at 12:00 AM. If it ended earlier we def. would! Great idea!! The main hotel is a great location also.

Our reception ends at 12:30, by the time we get back to the hotel it will be 1:30 possibly 2..who ever still wants to hang out..I doubt it though...but I hope there are some people floating around!!

I am having visions of me and FH walking in the lobby checking in. Me in my dress and FH in his tux!!!!!

our reception probably wont be ending until 1am so im not so sure about an after party - whoever stays over the hotel and is still awake might have a few drinks at the bar - not so sure if we will make it there

we didn't because our wedding ended at 1am. if it had ended earlier- we would have. We actually tried to get the bar at the hall to stay open for us along with bemyokos wedding, but the hall didn't go for it.

We stayed at the Inn At Great Neck with our guests. We wanted to be able to spend time as much time as we could with our family...we had a lot in from OOT.

we are having ours at the hotel. They have a bar there open until 230. Alot of people are coming and staying over.

This is what we planned on doing as well, we tried to get one of the conference rooms but the caveat was that we couldn't bring liquor!!!

What's the point? So we're just going to take over the bar area.
