My wedding ends around 5 pm and I wanted to keep the party going. We originally wanted to book a hotel room but they are so expensive near our venue (260 per night) that many people are already saying they cant afford to stay. We also do not want to have a party at our house because we don't want to clean/set up food on our wedding day. Does anyone have any good ideas for after hours to get everyone to stay together?

Hey date twin!
Can you get in touch with a bar that has a private room and hook something up?
I am literally in the exact same boat- we shoudl plan something together and halve the cost! hahah

most places will exttend for afterhours and will provide reggae band or dj. Desserts and cigar rolling for like 1500 or some with a per head cost like 5$ a heads. U should ask what tthe overtime charges are. It may be worth it. HTH

Thanks girls! I know it is great having a day wedding because you can extend the party, but it sucks that some of the hotels are sooo expensive and it is almost like you have to provide another venue for your guests! I am going to look into a place near my house. I am thinking I am probably just going to wind up giving in and have everyone back at my house. Then kick them out at night and go to a nearby hotel with my husband for our wedding night. Who knows

Isn't the riverview close by? Aren't there a couple of bar restaurants in the patchogue or all along the south shore area?
Edited: Didn't realize where Chateau was. There are tons of bar restaurants in the bayshore area lily's or nutty irishman
