Re: After Party opinion

That a tough question only because if people you don't want to come see that people are staying they might stay and then what do you do in that situation?

Also, are you going to be paying for the open bar or are people going to be paying for their own drinks at that point? Honestly, if people are going to be paying for their own drinks, I say just let whoever wants to stay, stay. Most likely, some of the older crowd won't stay out and it will just the young crowd.

My first idea was to have the band announce it - but you have to do it early so people know not to leave.

I thought about sending it in the invite - but that might get confusing for people. And it just might be too much going on with the invite.

Maybe do something really informal for it - like an e-vite for it.

Or maybe send out a seperate notice abbout it - kinda like a STD?? But again, that might confuse people, kinda like 'wait, what 2 parties??'

I dunno - the more I think about it the more i like the idea of the band announcing it and maybe just do a word of mouth kinda thing.

Sorry - I know that was a bit all over the place lol

I guess in that case I would maybe just put another insert in the invitations of the people you want to join you for the after party.

Or, if you have a fear that word will get out to other people about it and they realize they weren't invited, maybe you could do something on the RSVP card asking how many guests plan on attending the after party and they can answer on the RSVP card and you will have an exact # of people to tell the RH for the after party. You'd be surprised how many people just want to go home afterward (whether from just being tired, or they have kids they have to get home too, etc).

I really like the response card idea - putting it on there to help you get an idea of a head count. and like jessie said, some people (a lot of people) will head home anyway so i dont think you would get everyone at the after party. but the response card will give you a good estimate of what to expect.
