Just wondering..after your shower..are many other things usually bought off of your registry? I missing some important items like pots and pans and a vacuum and i was just curious to see if I should just go out and buy them myself at this point..tia

Did you get gift cards that you can use to purchase the thing missing? I know I will have work shower right before the wedding but things like my vacuum won't be bought by co-workers.
Do you have completion program? If so I would wait to right after the wedding so you can save some money on the items.

Yes i do have a couple of gift cards I can use and some cash...I do not know about a completion program?!/

I started buying things myself with gift cards that people gave me.

Most places have a 10% off completion discount that you can use for stuff on your registry. I know that Bed, Bath & Beyond, Williams-Sonoma, and Fortunoff have it. Not sure where you're registered. Definitely look into it. I would definitely wait until after the wedding-you never know what you'll get.

Im not sure if FMIL is still throwing me a small shower, but a few small things are gone from our registries. also, we got a few gifts afterwards from people who couldn't attend.
i'm assuming our OOTers will want to give gifts (hopefully from our registry) but we may have to buy some of the bigger things ourselves

Where did you register? That will help in determining if you have a completion program! What we did is return doubles/do-not-want's and added in gift cards and bought the inexpensive-mid price point stuff that we really wanted and we're going to wait until after the wedding to see what kind of position we are in to purchase the rest of the stuff based on the completion program discount! HTH
