After Six bridesmaids dresses

Is anyone using them for their girls. How are the prices?

I have my eye on an After Six dress for my girls but have yet to see it in person. According to modernbride.com, the dresses are in the $$$ price range ($151-$250). (FYI -my seamstress mentioned that After Six and Bill Levkoff BM dresses are very well made.)

I used After-six and Dessy dresses for my BM's - they were great. We bought online and saved a ton!

retail prices for the dresses were $110-225, online prices $95-150 (my girls were in 6 different dresses thats why there's a price range.)

LisaT - did you and your girls check out the dresses in person before buying them online? If so, may I ask which store(s) had a good selection of After Six dresses? (And while you're at it, where did you end up buying them online?)

jvs - yes, we checked out the dresses in person. Each of my BM's tried on a number of dresses to determine which she wanted. Paradise Bridals in Patchogue and the Wedding Center in Commack both had a good selection of Dessy & After-six syles (same manufacturer/color).

I had my girls measured while checking out the selection and wrote their measurements down (the salon thought we were just waiting to get ALL the girls' selections before ordering)

We ordered from two different sites (depending on who had the best price for what dress):
Best Buy Bridal and Gowns Online

Both had great service and the dresses arrived in 4-6 weeks (and matched - no worry about dye lots).

WE JUST ORDERED AFTER SIX/DESSY DRESSES TODAY. GOT THEM AT RK BRIDAL IN MANHATTAN. THEYHAD A PRETTY GOOD SELECTION. THE DRESS WAS $164 PLUS TAX.

Here were mine- I think they were about 160-180.

Thanks for all the info I'm going to be looking for BM dresses soon. I saw an after six dress I liked. Sunny I'm getting married Oct. 2,2004 at Windows on the Lake. How was your experience? Did you use any of theor vendors and what color were your bm dresses. Sorry for all the questions.

Here is my BM dress. I ordered them from Valentina's. I added spaghetti straps and a shawl and they are paying $220. They also get free alternations.

I used After Six dresses and the prices before tax ran from $111 to about $150. The ones that had beading were closer to 135-150 and the ones without were 111-130. I used RK Bridal No Frills plan. They had tons there and they were great prices. I let each girl pick their own dress from Dessy/After Six (I picked color and material). I really liked their dresses.

I think I'm going to use an After six bridesmaid dress. I just have to have everyone see it.
