did everyone think of how they will get home from their reception? what is everyone doing after their reception? my reception ends at midnight and sometimes i think to myself i wanna go out somewhere so i can stay in my gown just a little longer. i am going to hate taking it off!! it will be fun doing the bank though to see how we did moneywise. i hope i dont sound bad for saying that lol!

Nah, it doesn't sound bad! I would love to find another occasion to wear mine with out being ridiculous LOL!
(btw - we are getting a car from our limo company to take us to the hotel afterwards. )

We didn't plan a way to get home (figuring we knew everyone there - we could get a ride). We hopped in the car with my sister after the wedding. We had originally thought about going out after but we were ready to head to the hotel by the time midnight came around...
We did hang out in the hotel with some friends for awhile. The we went to our room - had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries that my sisters left in the room and opened the envelopes.
I was lucky enough to get to wear my dress again - since we live in CA, we had a little party out here after we returned from our honeymoon. It was a blast - I highly recommend it. It made our wedding last longer - it wasn't all over in one day!

We are also getting a car from our limo company to bring us back to the hotel. Ultimate Class Limos included this service in our contract. It all depends how we feel after the reception, we may hang out w/ our guests at the hotel bar. From what I've been told, after the wedding your exhausted and can't wait to go to sleep! We are having an after party at a bar near the recption hall (it ends at 11 on a Sat. night) they will have some munchies and drink specials for us in the back room. We are getting a party bus instead of a limo and after dropping us off at the reception after pictures, it goes to the hotel (right down the block) to pick up our out of town guests to bring them to the reception. After the reception we hired a shuttle van for two hours to take people either back to the hotel, or to the bar, or wherever. After the bar, we will call cabs.

does your hotel have a club or a bar? after a friends wedding, the limo company came in a six person limo to pick her up and we went with her ( we knew a head of time so we parked our cars in the hotel the night before) it was actually the GC hotel and we went to blue for a while and then home and they went upstairs.. and another thought is you could also drop off your car there the night before as well so you have a way to get home the next morning...

When selecting our reception time that was one of the determining factor. We did not want our reception to end at midnight, so we decided to have a afternoon reception so that we can hang out after and I could wear my dress longer. My sweetie and I could rest up a little at the hotel then wake up refreshed so we will not be too tired to enjoy each other's company for the rest of the night Our limo company is providing a car for us to take us to the hotel. We are getting married on Saturday, we are having a brunch on Sunday and we leave for our HM on Monda. I think I might even wear my dress again.

We have people from out of town staying at the Marriott in Uniondale, and we are going to stay there as well. We are all planning on hanging our in one of the bars there for a while, which works out nice because all we have to do is go up to our room when we get tired, or want to be alone The next day we will be having brunch with all who stayed, and anyone else who wants to meet up, then home to pack and to the airport for London that night.
We are parking our car at the hotel and having a town car bring us back from the reception...
There is a bar in our hotel and I am telling our friends to head over there...even though they are not staying in hotel...(most live near-by)
brunch in morning as well...

We also are having a town car pick us up after the reception. The hotel we are staying at is kind of small, but they have a club there on Friday nights if we want to have drinks. I was thinking of surprising my FH with a chilled bottle of wine and cheese/crackers/grapes. We will probably be running around so much at the wedding, we will need a midnite snack!!
