After the RSVP date...

After the RSVP date...

... do you still expect people to send their RSVPs when you scolded them about it? Or is the phone call enough of a confirmation?

RSVP is on Sat, we're missing 16 RSVPs (32 people total).

I have had some people send them after being reprimanded but if they already confirmed their count to you, I probably would hold my breath for the RSVP.

Are these the type of people that will tell you they are coming, then not show up? I think it depends on the person. A phone confirmation should be good enough.

BTY: Did you go for your final menu meeting yet? How did it go?

People have still been sending them after the RSVP date.
Mine was 8/10 so at this point I am getting ready for seating charts so if it's not in it's a NO.
This is the most annoying part of the whole process. I have no idea what's wrong with people.

Yea, there about about 6 people who are the type to not-show... but I think regardless, it wouldn't make a difference to them if they send the RSVP, or give a phone confirmation... if they plan on not showing up, they won't... ya know?

As for the final menu, it went ok. Didn't get much else throw in. However, they tried to pressure us to up certain items. When you go, stick to your guns, and try to get as much as possible.

So wait... you didn't even let your guests confirm over the phone? Wow, that's gutsy. I wish I could do that.

ETA: I agree... it's been a headache after sending out the invitations with guests complaining about how many are invited, to guests being inconsiderate by waiting till the last minute to send out the RSVPs.... argh!!! lol

FH keeps saying 'no card , no meal'. . . but he's not really that tough. I think if we got a phone confirmaiton directly that's be ok, but not third hand as things in his family tend to be.

So far just a couple of people have to told me they are coming but didn't send the card back, but we still have a week & a half.
