After Wedding Party?

ok so FH and i really would like to do something like this.. now heres my issue.. we plan on getting this beautiful suite at the local hotel that were blocking rooms at.. and its HUGE enough to fit everyone back there later on.. but.. no offense to our friends I DONT WANT THEM IN THERE to party!!! and i just dont think we can afford to rent out the confrence room.. and then theres no music you need to BYOB.. WHAT DO I DO?? any suggestions???

we were thinking the same thing. I don't want drunkies in my 'wedding night room' being sloppy, sitting on our bed, spilling things in our room. I am acting like they are sloppy drinks, and they aren't, but I almost want it to stay, idk, i guess 'sacred'? Does that make sense?

If the party continues, and i have a feeling it will, we will be doing it at the hotel lobby bar or someone elses room

we wont have the limo that late.. we plan on getting a shuttle either from the hotel or paying for one.. to get the 12 miles from the RH to the hotel... but i cant afford for it to hang around.. so maybe taxis?

and yelly.. DEF not stting on my Bed where FH and i are going to consummate our marriage! but i want to keep it special for the 2 of us i dont want it to be the party place! im hoping that maybe some of our friends will chip in and get a suit for themselves and we can party there

check with the hotel and see if they have an area your guests can hang out after the wedding. Most of the hotels we looked at have a bar area and they've all said it wouldn't be a problem if we wanted to have a little after party there.

not yet.. cuz i really cant afford anything extra... i may ask our friends if they want to continue the party which is great to all chip in to get the room.. cuz were already paying for a shuttle to get their drunk behinds back and forth which is costing us a PRETTY PENNY!

i am a selfish horrible person and i dont want to see a single person after my wedding ends AND i dont want to see anyone the next day either

so much so that we arent telling anyone where we are staying, our guests are staying in a different hotel AND we are not planning anything for the next day

LOL but that is just me, for you - i would find out about the conference room. You cant really even 'bring up' your friends getting another suite that would be kind of rude, unless they totally bring it up on their own

and ps.. yes, we want to do a after party. but we'll either do it at a bar or if the hotel has a bar in it, there! lol we were thinking of getting a seperate room for partying, but we're not sure yet...

we're doing an after party. our hotel is keeping the bar open for us...but even if that blows we're going to be in port jeff village - so we'll have plenty of bars to choose from

we def. wanna have an after party.. the night goes by sooo quickly..so we def. wanna celebrate with everyone for as long as we can..we have the rest of our lives to have alone time..lol. We haven't settled on a hotel yet, but we are hoping that they will keep the bar in the lobby open for us. If not maybe we can Bring our own alcohol and just hang out in the lobby..cause by then everyone will be so trashed that they wont need much more..lol. and we were also thinking of having everyone join us for breakfast.. (can't wait to wear my mrs. T hoodie that day..hee hee)

I say def. check into the conference room.. it may not cost as much as you think,... or maybe like you said.. if everyone realllly wants to party after they will look into getting a suite. You can always casually mention in front of them that it would be great to keep the party going but you simply can't afford it ..and they may decide to go ahead and do something about that The hotel may also be willing to work with you on cost and everything.. it never hurts to try...good luck

oh and one more thing... the hotel does a hot/cold continential breakfast everymorning.. my mom thinks thats enough to invite those who want to meet us at a certin time for breakfast to come and join us.. but doesnt feel its neccessary to have to plan something extra.. what do you think?

I think thats a bad idea.

When ever I have been to a continental breakfast, its been fully. Very few seats.

If you are doing it this way I highly recommend that you also have people rsvp for that so you can reserve a nice amount of seating for your guests.

thanks girls.. i the hotel doesnt have any bar so no matter what we do if its in the hotel it has to be BYOB... it may turn into a huge issue so i guess ill have to see waht i can do.. i may ask my BM to ask around to all our friends if they would be willing to chip in on the confrence room so we can all hang out and party?? Tacky i know but i dont feel guilty one bit asking from our friends.
