AFTER YOU CLOSED...

How many days later did you move in?

We are thinking 2 weeks because we want to refinish the floors, paint and put down the carpeting before we move in.

Probably 2 weeks for us also. We have to paint and carpet first too.

I wish we had 2 weeks! We were delayed 2 months on our closing, I'd been living with DH's grandmother - 60 miles from my job and he was still living in another state, waiting to close on the house! We closed on Friday - drove to Boston and finshed packing, the movers packed up on Monday and delivered on Tuesday. We stayed in the house Monday night, sleeping on blankets on the floor!

we closed, slept there that night and then painted and primed for about 2 weeks...then moved in before we were all done with that because our wedding was getting close and we had to get stuff done!

Took us two months to actually close......we had problems with some stuff with the inspection and then getting people together....we closed on Tuesday and moved in on Friday.....the first night in your new house is amazing...

We sat on our living room floor, had some wine and fell asleep right there on our aerobed. It was one of the best nights of my life...enjoy it!!!

We closed and the sellers lived in our house for 2 months after so they had to pay our mortgage. The day they moved out we painted. We got the wood floors done the next 2 days and moved in about 2 days after that.

About a month. We took our time - with our work and social schedules, we wanted to stay in closer to the city a little bit longer since we were on a lease anyway. Plus it gave us some time to paint a few rooms and scrub the entire house before we filled it with stuff. (The house was relatively clean but I wanted to scrub it anyway.)

I was thinking about 2-4 weeks - to paint and clean really well. I can't take anytime off during the week so, everything will need to be done at night or on the weekends

We moved in the day after closing. Our lease was up in a week and we were ready to go.
We were lucky because the sellers painted and redid the floors a two months before closing. They had to move everything out to paint and do the floors so the place was immaculate. All we had to do was clean the oven and bathrooms and move in.

We will be moving in about 3-4 weeks after we close. First we are going to paint and then we have to replace all of the floors and then they have to dry - so it won't be right away.

Regardless, I am so excited!

The sellers have about a week to get our after we close and I think we will take the month of July to paint and clean. We are also making a space forhis parents in the lower half of the hous, so that will take a little while. We are waiting for your closing date now. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!
