We're having a Sunday night reception. (6-12). I also was afraid at first that people would leave. But I've come to the conclusion that some people are going to leave early no matter what day it is and the people closest to you are going to stay till the end no matter what day it is.

I'm having Sunday afternoon in August. We're going to do most of the pictures beforehand since it will be nice and sunny early, but still kind of cool, and we are having family over afterwards.

I would do an afternoon with an after party. This way the folks who don't want to stay out late can go home, and those who do can PARTY

I am having a Saturday afternoon wedding. Most of my FH's family and friends are from out of town and have a long drive ahead of them. We also wanted to have an after party to spend more time with our friends. I went to a Sunday night wedding last winter at Russo's on the Bay and was dying from exhaustion the next day because it ended so late. Just my $.02.

Totally agree with Marcela1654

My reception is on a Sunday evening, July 4th.
I prefer an evening Wedding over an afternoon Wedding. But the after party sounds nice for the afternoon Wedding. Good luck!!
