Afternoon wedding at North Ritz- Question on lighting

Hi there! I'm kinda new to this so I hope I'm posting in the right place

Has anyone had or been to an afternoon wedding at the North Ritz Club? I'm having an afternoon wedding with them in August and am alittle worried about lighting. From the 2 times I've been there during the daytime the reception hall doesn't seem to get a lot of natural light. Would I need to add uplighting? Do people even do that for afternoon weddings? lol I just don't want it to appear too dim. Any comments or suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

i have been there during the day and I had food tasting during the day and I agree there is def not much light in there, it didnt bother me much bc I was planning on having a night wedding.

I thinkkkk the uplighting is built in there? not sure...i know it is def built in to the bar area not sure about reception room.

I personally love the way uplighting looks so I would want to add it no matter what, it really changes the look of the room and gives the room that wow factor

Hey hall twin! I had the same dilema. FH didn't feel it was necessary to spend extra money on lighting. But our DJ is throwing in some free uplighting. Not the whole room but as he said, 'Just enough to add a little something.' I feel that if its something you like then go for it, but if its not in your budget its not really necessary.

I am also having an afternoon wedding at NRC. I have been to a couple different events there during the day, and never felt the room was dim. FH and I never even thought about uplighting

Thanks for all the replies! Still unsure but I plan to visit North Ritz next weekend to take a look again. I'll need to see how the hall looks when it's fully lit to decide.
