Do you find that people generally have a better time at a night wedding than an afternoon wedding? My ceremony is 11:30am, CH at 12pm, reception at 1:00pm. The price was so much better for the afternoon, but now I am starting to doubt myself. I picked Sunday b/c it is much cheaper and, besides the price, I figured people may not want to stay out until midnight on a Sunday, especially if they are driving on ice during the winter!
Has anyone been to an afternoon wedding lately? What was your experience?

Re: Afternoon Weddings?
I recently went to an afternoon wedding at Flowerfield and I had a blast!!! THe people who were there danced all afternoon!!! I think your wedding will be just as fabulous! I am also having an afternoon wedding. I was concerned about the same thing, but after going to my friend's wedding at Flowerfield, I am convinced that my wedding will be a blast!!!

Did your friend have a band or DJ? If she had a DJ, do you know which one?

She had a DJ. Long Island SOund. She had a percussionist, saxophonist, and two plasma tvs with pictures of everyone during her reception. THey also showed a photo montage DVD during dinner.

Re: Afternoon Weddings?
DH and I had our reception at 12:30 till 5:30 and I was worried about this as well. But, we had plenty of people dancing and drinking all afternoon!!! As long as the music, food, and atmosphere is good then you should have nothing to worry about!!!
