Afterparty at La Quinta (formerly wingate)

So our wedding ends at 1:30am... by the time we clean up and get our stuff together..we probably won't get to the hotel til 2-2:30 ..i think the limo compay said they are sending a car for us at 2...
anyway... most of my guests will probably be there before us.. but the bar closes at 2:00 we were told...
has anyone been able to pay extra to keep the bar open later??? I mentioned to them when we were there that people were gonna come back to drink and they said we can bring liquor to the room..etc.. but didnt mention anything about keeping the bar open or being able to drink with our own alcohol in the bar area...

they wouldnt let us bring our own alcohol into the bar area -- they said they could lose their liquor license. we spent much of our time in one of the rooms because a friend picked up 2 cases of beer.... but we did hang out in the lobby as well, only a few people ordering from the hotel bar.

you can still have a great time with the bar being closed

thanx for the info. Just trying to decide if we want ppl to come to our room since it's bigger.. or if someone else getting a room would be willing to let ppl drink there!!! I'll have to talk to the bridal party and see what they think
