Ahhh 4 days to go and I have a new photographer

My studio just called and said that due to a 'personal commitment' my photographer can't make it. Personal commitment?!? What the he11?

We have a new one, who seems OK -- but it was so lame that they called me today to tell me this.

that's friggin annoying!!! did you specifically request to have the original photographer? if you did, i would raise hell!

That's terrible that they told you so last minute. I am sure everything will work out fine! Just be real specific with the photographer about what you want and don't want. Don't leave too much to chance.

Celebration studios assigned someone from their other offices. (I didn't have to do anything)

If you look at their contract they can remove a photographer if they have to, they are just obligated to send a replacement.

His work seems fine -- though very traditional. His 'highlights' page is great, but I also saw the photographs from an entire wedding -- very standard, not at all creative. I am sure I'll be able to find some great pictures from the evening -- but I am thinking of adding table camera to some of the tables now. Just as a back up.

There isn't really anything I can do -- and had they told me a while ago that this was going to happen I would have been cooler about it. However, I spoke to them 4 days ago and they told me the photographer I had asked for would be shooting the wedding.

Shrug -- just when I though I was done with all this wedding nonsense!
