So I had a sneaking suspicion that my NY shower was this coming weekend. FH and I live in MD for those who don't know. And I am only going home for Halloween weekend, Christmas week and then the next time I am home will be the Wedding week. So I knew they would likely have a shower for me on 11/1 or 11/2. We have a food tasting at our RH on Saturday afternoon, so I was assuming it would be on Sunday, 11/2....SOOOOO
My coworker just comes up to me and says 'so you are off on monday?' and I say, no what do you mean and then she looked like a deer in the headlights. And she was like 'Oh Sh*T'
So even though I pretty much already knew, now I really really know! LOL! AND I HAVE A DAY OFF ON MONDAY SO FH AND I CAN PLAY WITH MY FAMILY AND ALL OUR NEW PRESENTS A LIL WHILE LONGER! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not gonna tell FH I know, cuz he worked so hard to get me a day off without me knowing!
I am really excited
but a lil disappointed that I officially know!

Haha yeah I am really excited. Now my Bff (also one of my bridesmaids) made lunch plans with me and FH for a double date on Sunday to La Volpe! So I am pretty sure that is where it is. Now my question is
1. do I get dressed up to go to lunch, which will make them think I know? OR
2. give my shower outfit to my Mom to hold and just say whenever my shower is over the next 3 months, please bring this with you so I can change into it? OR
3. Totally change what my plan was for a shower outfit to make it half casual/half dressy that way it would work for both lunch out and or a shower???
PLEASE HELP!!

i would probably change the whole outfit so its still something nice but not totally obvious that you were expecting it.

PLEASE HELP!!
I say go for a combo of 2 and 3... wear something casual and half dressy so you dont have to change if you dont want to and you will be ready for it.. but at the same time your mom will have the outfit you picked out if it turns out to be more dressy and you want to change!
But thats just me.. i ALWAYS over prepare!

i would just wear something casual/half dressy. you don't want to have to go change and all that stuff. my sister had an outfit picked out but ended up being dressed perfectly!!! i hope you have fun if it really is your shower!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, congrats....you must be so excited!
I say go for option 2 or 3! Coming from a former MOH that worked SO hard to make a surprise, only to have one of the BM's blatantly ruin it and tell the bride...just appease everyone LOL!

I'd just casually say to my MOH (in my case my sister) or mother to have it on hand so you look extra special on your shower day.

I think you should definitely act surprised - you don't want to ruin it for everyone that worked so hard.
I would also change my outfit and go the casual/dressy route......
