ahhh clm!

Sooo, FH and I went to CLM today and FELL IN LOVE!!!!! I love the downstairs ballroom, love the outdoor ceremony area, cocktail hour, love Nick, love the package, and they gave us an amazing deal.

The thing is they were all sold out for the downstairs room in July and August (Fri and Sat evening).

He had Oct 1, and we both thought that would be great. On the way home, I remembered my friend is getting married that day. :(

The other option is Oct 29. Do you think late Oct will be too cold to do the ceremony outside, and have the outdoor cocktail hour?!?!

I'm sooo sad. We both went in and felt this is the one. It was the second place we went too, and we still have a list of places we are going to, but I fell in love and the price that he gave us CAN NOT BE BEAT. What do you girls think????

end of oct usually isnt too bad, but theres always the risk it will be..so you would have to be ok with that..what happened to july/aug?

also, i would really suggest at least going to see more places..i kinda wish i would have, although i love my hall, but you never know..

i dont think that oct 29th should be too cold for an outside ch. i remember this past halloween night was pretty nice out so its a possibilty that that time of yr could still be nice enough for the ch.
if u absolutely love, id book it!!!!

CLM is sold out for all of July/August/Sept. Well, for the bottom room they are sold out, and the top room will be too small for us.

You're right about checking other places. We set up the tasting, and are going to check out the places on our list still to see.Thanks.

What about May or June? What about doing aa thursday wedding in July/August? You definately will save more money. It's becoming more common now.

My sister will be out of the country from Feb-June, otherwise we would do May. We don't want to do a Thursday night because of OOT guests and people taking off of work. The deal we got was amazing. I'm just worried about the weather. But I guess you never know ever about the weather, right? It could rain in May or July. I dont know...

Ugh, that's a tough one. I can understand why you love it so much What about a Sunday night? Or a day wedding? I really wanted a Sat night wedding but couldn't afford it so opted for a Sunday day at CLM and I know it will be beautiful because at least everyone can fully enjoy the view.

IMO, it depends what kinda wedding your going for. I'm having a fall-theme wedding and I wouldn't mind an outdoor ceremony. End of October can go either way with the weather...you never know. I'm getting married at the end of September and it too can be randomly chilly.

I'm getting the downstairs room at CLM on a Thursday night for an incredible price. If you and FH would be willing to do a Thursday night, I'm sure theres some dates in early Oct available for really cheap.

I might be a little biased because CLM is my reception hall, but I don't think the end of October is that bad. I'm the beginning of October and I tried to gauge the weather this year and it's usually okay. I hope you book with them, they have been soooooooooo phenomenal!!!

End of October could go either way. This Halloween, it was beautiful outside. If you're really set on CLM, take the chance.

I also agree with PP on checking out other places, you never know. I LOVE Giorgio's, but I really wish I would've known about Old Field Club bc based on pics, it would've been a contender.

I wouldn't book the end of october unless you're completely okay with having to move things inside if the weather doesn't cooperate! hope everything works out for you!!!
