Ahhh I'm so pissed!!!!!!!! Long...
First some back story...
About 18 months ago, FH was given a raise after his review. A few months later, he noticed that his pay rate went up another dollar and he brought it up to the payroll Mgr that was there at the time. A few months after that, his pay rate increased another dollar again. Again, he brought it to the payroll Mgr (different from the one before).
Fast Fwd. to this past Dec....
He goes in for another review, about 6 months late than he should have. Upon review of his current pay rate, they brought him in to HR and they say he is making $2 more/hour than he is supposed to be and to make a long story short, he owes them the $5K that he was 'overpaid' for the past year EVEN THOUGH he had brought it up to several different payroll mgrs that they had over the past 18 months!!! I can't even tell you how many times his check had been messed up and he had to bring it to be fixed. And in all of those times, they never said a single thing about his pay increases.
Last month, they call him in saying he owes them money and will get a raise based on what he SHOULD have been making, which still ends up less than the pay rate he had been making for a year. Then, they give him a piece of paper to sign saying that he never informed mgmt. of this pay increase and that he will owe the company the money. So, I ask my dad who is an attorney what he should do and like I expected him to say, he says DON'T SIGN. So he goes back to work saying he spoke to a lawyer and was informed not to sign. Well, that was the last I heard about that. Immediately, FH goes looking for a new job and lands a great one making more money!
Now today... I get a call from FH saying that he tried to withdraw money from his account and was told he had insufficient funds. Well, he cashed his last paycheck from the old job on Friday and they STOPPED PAYMENT. So, I call my Dad and ask him what FH should do. He says to call the Dept. of Labor and to also take the old company to Small Claims. I tell FH and then I say good thing you didn't sign that form and then....
HE SAYS HE ENDED UP SIGNING IT!!!
He said they revised it a little bit so he signed it. And he didn't even tell me!! I am sooo pissed!!!!!!!!
