My vote is for updo. Both can be very pretty, but updo seems more special.

I think it will last longer too...I worry with my hair down and all the dancing and sweating my hair will be a wet mess by the end of the night.

I'm not asking this to be a smart tush, but do you really have to decide this now?? Seems to me you have plenty of time..I haven't even decided what I want!!! Enjoy!!

I know this answer is kind of a cop out, but what if you prep for both just incase of bad weather? If it were me (and getting married in June) the weather could be dry or it could be humid, which would be the deciding factor for me as to what to do that morning. Humid= up, dry= down.

well i'm going for trials soon b/c its my last semester in med school so i have to do really good & wont have time to do trials. at the trials, are you allowed to do more than one hairstyle? like can i ask them to do an updo & half up half down

I bet you could. I highly doubt that you have to say definitively that you want an up do or to have it down. There's got to be some flexibility, and besides, you are the bride. You should always get what you want

well my last semester will be hectic so thats why i said i wouldnt have that much time. i'm not deciding the actual look- just wanted to see how i would like an updo or half up half down- i know its a year later but its better to plan ahead- alot of girls on the 08 boards have planned alot & i still have alot to plan-

Good luck with med school--first thing I had to learn about these boards was...don't compare!! Everything will get done when it needs to get done and it will be fine...I have faith in that for you....trust me, girls have been done way before me who are getting married after me...it happens..concentrate on what's important...the marriage and med school (not necessarily in that order..ha)...good luck!! (JMHO)

I'm a half-up kinda gal. It depends on what's most flattering on you...I personally can't pull off an updo! When you go for a hair trial, just try both!

I say half (for me) b/c I look ridiculous with my hair all up. I have a very round face and look silly with all my hair up. I'm actually planning to wear my hair down for my wedding b/c that's how it looks best.

I think it depends o your neckline and where you are having your wedding. Im prolly doing half up half down for my hair.

i'm doing an updo b/c my hair will hold best in that style. i always have my hair down so i want to do something different like jessica said. i really dont think my hair will hold curls in the half up half down style- i considered but dont want my hair to go straight in the pics!

I am going to have my hair half up half down. Like Julia Roberts in Steel Magonlias. My Mom and I always wanted my hair like that for my wedding. It's also nice because I tend to always have my hair up in my profession as dance teacher.

I'm wearing mine half up, half down because I think I look funny with an up-do. It really depends on your features. Some people can pull off an up-do and look amazing. Your best bet is to go for a trial and have the hair dresser try both styles.
