ok girls..so fh and I are supposed to be going to montauk in may...with some of our friends in our bowling league....so i havent thought much of it...just excited to get away with him....my grandma is having her knee replacement sx the day before we leave...so im thinking i would meet them...anyway...

so i ask fh the name of the place...and i go on tripadvisor to what he thinks is the name of the place...

and...

its not good....

the reviews are terrible...

its really bad....

we could try to get our $$ back but he is kind of giving me a hard time...

i wont be able to sleep, it looks that gross....

im trying to explain to him we could take that money and have a nice romantic cozy getaway just us and not worry...hes being calm but stubborn...

help!

yuck!!! i was just now reading some more of these reviews...one guy said the sheets on the bed were dirty with what looked like body fluid....and another person found a dirty needle ok clearly this is not happening!!!!
ETA: so i am copying and pasting all of the reviews into an email for FH to read....(he thinks im a travel brat..and i absolutley am...i am not debating that what so ever) and the the needle review is POOF gone in 10 minutes...ughhhh....

FH and I go out to MTK all the time and MOST of the places out there are 3 star or less, easy. Whats the name of the place - maybe we can set you at ease.

is there any way u can go to the place before u cancel and check it out. cuz any1 can write reviews. doesnt mean they are true.

like restaurants.. my fav rest that i swear by has the WORST reviews. and im happy about it cuz it keeps ppl from comming inlolol (im territorial)

Ummm...sounds kinda bad....

But I do agree with what Barbs says...you can't always trust the reviews. We booked a room for a ski trip in Feb and afterwards checked tripadvisor.com and the reviews were awful. We still went to that hotel and it turned out to be great!!

i def wont have the time to do that...but i hear what your saying....it just was one bad review after the next...all stating how gross and disgusting the place is....so im not sure....

ETA: when we went to cozumel the place had mixed reviews...either amazing or not so much...and felt what the people were saying in the bad ones were those really picky kind of people...we did go (with some doubts) and it was AMAZING>..so i reeally do get it...im just nervous....

Reviews can be misleading though... were there a ton or only a handful? I feel a lot of times people write reviews for those things either when they are really happy or really bad, and sometimes there are no happy mediums.
