I met with my FMIL today, and she keeps adding people (that we cannot afford) to the guest list. I have already told her NO MORE! but, she is not listening. I am stressing out!
Christy we are in the process of finalizing the guest list as well. It got a point where I had to tell someone, you want them you pay for them! I know this is hard but I highly recommend that or just plain say no! Stand your ground with your FH and present a unified front. DO NOT give in, this is your day!

I am not happy that you are going through this but I am so glad to hear that all of my stresses and fights about who to invite were completely normal because everyone else is going through the same thing. I don't understand why they just don't get it about adding on all of the extra guests, it is so annoying and expensive!!!!
I think my FMIL would be just as happy if we werent getting married! Then she could keep my FH around to do things for her. I am already having nightmares about her trying to ruin the wedding! She is adding so much stress to the wedding.
I agree too, if she wants them there have them pay for them. I would have your fiance talk to them , it might be better hearing it from him. Good Luck!!!
