THE 'IDOLS' GET A SECOND SHOT
March 23, 2005

The 11 remaining 'American Idol' contestants can sit tight for one more night. Due to an error in a phone number graphic displayed on Tuesday's episode of the popular FOX series; they'll each get a second chance to prove to voters that they have what it takes to be the next big pop star. According to the show's official website, Wednesday night's show at 9 p.m. will be a full hour of live encore performances, instead of the usual half-hour results show. Phone lines will remain open for two hours following the show, so Americans can re-vote for their favorites. The new results will be announced on a half-hour episode to air at 9 p.m. on Thursday, sending one of the hopefuls to pack their bags and leave their big dreams of 'Idol' stardom behind.
