Air fare help

Ok so I booked our HM flight to Antigua a few months ago through Delta.....
I get an email now saying the prices are A LOT cheaper like $350

So I called delta and they said I would have to pay a down grade fee of $150 pp so my refund would only be $50

how not fair

anybody know anything I can do? or any of those websites that help you out with stuff like this??

I agree with your mom...definitely try speaking to someone else. I have never heard of a 'downgrade fee'

Do you know about Yapta.com? Check it out if not...they will track the flight for you and tell you when it goes lower than what you paid and i think you get refunds through them

when did you book? when are you going? out weddings are so close and we are both going? I have to check the price diff now. Delta has changed out Antigua flights 2 times already, now this? I am so done with Delta

Just checked my flights too and it would be $233.58 less... with the downgrade fees I would pay more to switch. but i am gonna call and try considering they have screwed us 2 times already and forced us to change our honeymoon days 2 times already

yeah, i've heard of that before ... they're pretty much making you pay to cancel your original flight and then you re-book the cheaper one (at least that's what happened to me once) ....

oh well, $50 savings is still better than nothing

ok I signed yo for that website thanks! The website includes the 'changing' fee for you so if it goes lower with that fee then you get a refund.

I booked in Feb they havent changed anything so far on me. I would def try and see what they can do for you since they have messed with the flights on you guys already...GOOD LUCK

ok so had my mom call back to see (she is a good talker) and apparently they can do nothing AND there would be no refund at all since the chaging fee is so high the first guy I talked to was wrong man this stinks

I even asked if they could last minute upgrade us to 1st class yeaaa right LOL thought id try how cool would that have been

Thats really awful!! Last summer I booked a jet blue flight, and they will give you a credit towards a flight to be used w/in a year. Not cool if you don't need to go anywhere, but at least its them recognizing it!

call this number 800-847-0578

I got them to waive the fee, they refunded me $926.40 of my $981.98 that we paid(certain fees they don't give you back) and then we went online and rebooked for $748.40 total. We came out $178 ahead. THEY WAIVED THE REBOOKING FEE. The people at the main reservation number are useless.

I gave them a whole story about how they changed our flights 2 times and never did anything to make up for it and caused us to change our honeymoon dates. Try some story.....

I just checked to see if the price of my flight went down- but it didnt. But- I did find out they changed my seats without telling me. From the front of the plane to the back.

I just called and they gave me no explanation why they did this. They said that when I booked the seat must have been taken already. I knew they werent. I hate Delta!!!!
