i think the idea of placing air fresheners in the guests cars after the wedding is an adorable idea.....
anyone suggest a reasonable place...........to get them.
And also anyone want to share ones they used (pics)

I saw that one of the 08 brides did this - i got my cards for this printed up from Vista Print (just paid for shipping) and got my organza bags from efavormart.com - going to pick up the potpourri (sp?) in March.. and have my MOH help me put them together.. cost me so far like $25 to do without potpourri :o)

I think it's a cute idea but I read on here that some people actually don't like it because they might not like the smell or for allergy reasons.

Personally, I wouldnt liek that at all..i get nauseous from the smell of air fresheners and NEVER keep them in my car...i would probably end up getting rid of it..no offense...

I love the idea too but many people have commented they don't like foreign smells in their car.

I would agree, my car smells brand new until I trade it in or sell it, and I never use air fresheners because they overpower, and most people I know don't use them. But, leaving something in there is cute, maybe the almonds in the cup holders? (in bags or tulle, of course!)

i'm thinking of a thank you with a pic maybe and have the valets either hang them on the rearview or placing it on the dash to see

I would like it, but DH would freak out, maybe give them the option of taking it like having the valet (or someone from your party) attach them to peoples keys, then they have the option of putting it in their car or throwing them out. Anything floral makes me nauseous and anything fruity makes DH nauseous. I dont think that is the last experience you want your guests to have...driving home with a strong stinky air freshener they dont like..KWIM?
ETA: I dont want the valet doing anything in my car besides parking it and bringing it back to me, no touching nothing....this is just me tho

The ONLY way that I would recommend doing this is to hand it out to the guests still CLOSED in the plastic package. Let them decide if they want to use them or not.
DH & I talked about doing this, and felt that:
1) Leaving something in your guests cars is a little stalker-ish
2) If you have the valet's open them & hang them, the scent from these can be so strong that even if they toss it out immediately, they will still be forced to drive home with the smell & the smell will linger for a bit.
3) Putting them in the cars, opened, is a little inconsiderate IMHO. You never know what things your guests may be allergic to that you don't know about!

For me, I love it in concept but not in excecution. I know my FH would hate that, and I am not very keen on the smell of air fresheners either.

Just a thank you card NO fragrance not a air freshener
I know I am massively allercic to stuff and would never want anyone to experience the hives I get.

I received one from a wedding and absolutely loved it. it was still sealed and just put on my dashboard. i still have it in there since April and it doesn't even smell anymore but it was so freakin cute.

We did this at our wedding and everyone loved it. The valet opened the package enough to get the string out and hang the freshener on each mirror so it didn't really smell when you got in the car. You can also ask the valet to not open them at all and just leave them on the passenger seat.
