So my DH mentioned that he thinks we can totally get upgraded to business or first class just because we're on our honeymoon. Frankly, I don't think you get anything without payin for it. Perhaps he's seen too many movies! hehehe. But seriously, have any of you FP gals EVER gotten bumped up because you were on your honeymoon? Just curious....

I read on a message board that it never happens. The majority of people going are HM/Anniversary couples. At the gate you can upgrade for $700 per person to busines class if there are any left.
I hear that is rarer to be upgraded on international flights.

You and the other 300 newlyweds on your flight are going to try to do the same thing. Everyone on the plane is going on their honeymoon!! But, can't hurt to try.

u will most likely not get upgraded. 95% of the people on taht plane are newleyweds or on an anniversary trip.
you would have to pay the 700 to upgrade just like everyone else.

I asked about getting bumped because it was my HM and I was told that there are NO bump ups. All first class and business seats are paid for. With that said, maybe you will get lucky and have someone that is willing to bend the rules.

Thats so funny because 2 years ago i was flying with FH back home from europe and we had business class tickets, we used our points/miles to get them, And when we approached the check-in counter the agent said we will be flying first class today because there were seats available and we were the first to check in! It was weird but ofcourse we were pleasantly surprised! And this was on air tahiti nui.
IMO it doesnt hurt to try.
