Re: Airbrush Makeup

Try Maureen Pedala...
She's located in Manhattan, and will travel to wherever you are. She's pretty pricy, but her trial is free, plus she does amazing work.
Give me a second, I'll get her website.

Re: Airbrush Makeup

Thank you! I've been trying to book her and she just wrote me letting me know she can't do my trial on a saturday. Oh well.
If I remember correctly - she only does makeup, right? Her sister Claudia does hair and Makeup, right?
Thanks.

Yeah...she's pretty busy on the weekends...Can you make it into Manhattan on a weekday?
And yes, Maureen only does makeup, and I think Claudia only does hair...

I don't know if they do airbrushing, but try David Kalahiki click
or Laura Nadeau click
I have a trial with both Laura and Maureen in a few weeks, so if you're interested, I can let you know how they go....Sorry I couldn't be of more help! I hope everything works out!

Thanks again. David and Laura both don't do airbrush :( But I guess I'll hold out for Maureen and do a trial on a weekday. Thanks so much.

Not to be a downer or anything, but are you set on airbrush?? I haven't heard good things about it and there was even a girl on this board who posted a picture once - it was raining the day she got her trial and she got a rain drop on her cheek. It washed off her makeup in that area and there was nothing she could do to fix it. I chose not to go with airbrushing for that reason. I think airbrushing is fine for celebrities who can afford to have their makeup artist trail them and fix anything that gets messed up, but unless you're hiring your makeup artist to hang out with you for the day, I would be a little leery. Good luck with whatever you decide!! Just wanted to make sure you've considered this...

wow...that stinks about the girl's airbrush that ran. i have to put my opinion in here. the nite i got my airbrush trial done---it was raining a little bit--and my MU stayed on perfectly. not to mention--i PURPOSELY made sure to cry a little bit (watching a sad movie) to see how it held up.

the make up stayed on perfectly---and you couldn't tell that i shed a tear. i'm not sure why that other girl's MU ran so easily--cause i tested mine out.

also--check out ShortyMcBride's MU trial pics on the 2007 board....if you look she too did the same thing--airbrush MU and tested it with tears, and she made sure to take pics. the MU still looked flawless!

Another vote for Mia of *************! I had my airbrush trial with her on Tuesday. I was still looking nice and fresh when I woke yesterday! (Make sure you get lots of Make up remover wipes to get clean!)

She excellent, and very sweet too!

Claudia does both hair and makeup assuming only the bride is getting it done. I had my trial (both hair and makeup) with her recently. Here is the link Trial

Re: Airbrush Makeup

Thanks everyone. As of right now, I'm pretty set on airbrush since I've heard great things and love the pics. The least I can do is try it and then make up my mind. As for the girl who's makeup got messed up, I read her post and I believe that by the end of the whole ordeal she thought it might have been the blush that got messes up. I dont know....but I'm definitely going to find out. I'll post picks once I get it done and will definitely cry my eyes out to make sure it stays (I'm going to a good friend's wedding the day of my trial). Thanks for the help!
