Airbrush makeup?

Airbrush makeup?

Hi! I have seen some girls on here get airbrush makeup. I googled it, but am still kind of unclear exactly what it is, how it feels on your face, etc. I read some negative reviews on this, saying that if you don't have perfect skin, it will show all of your blemishes. Just wondering what other girls' experiences have been like.

TIA

I had it done for my E-Pics and I loved it! It looks just like regular foundation to me but it's sprayed on and it supposed to stay on longer? But I do know many girls that have used traditional makeup and it has stayed all day too. I think it depends on the makeup itself and probably who is applying it. But I wear foundation everyday and still loved the airbrush and will be having it for the wedding.

I LOVE airbrush foundation! I had it done for many of my friends weddings as well as for my trial. It feels very very light on your face, almost like you're not wearing anything. Its basically a liquid foundation that they put on through this airbrush machine.... I thought it would take long to apply, but its not much longer than regular foundation! I highly recommend at least trying it!! HTH!

I had airbrush done for a friend's wedding and I really liked it.

They literally airbrush it on, like when they use that machine at the nail salon to airbrush designs on your nails. They have like a million little bottles of different color foundations and they pour it into the machine and airbrush it on.

I was afraid it would be too much because I hate wearing liquid foundation, but it was actually very light and it lasted all day. It's good because it looks good in pictures and if you cry or anything it won't run. I will prob do a trial for airbrush and I think I want to do this for my wedding!

HTH!

ETA: It definitely covers up blemishes and stuff... in fact for her wedding I was peeling because I had gotten burnt during the summer lol and I asked her to airbrush a part of my arm which was discolored and she did and it looked normal!

I had a makeup trial done with airbrush and I honestly didn't like it. I felt like it didn't give me enough coverage (my skin has a lot of imperfections). I'm going to go with regular foundation for the day-of.

I had 2 trials, one with airbrush, one with traditional. Def. going with traditional. I wasn't a fan of the airbrush...it didn't look as natural as the traditional looked on me. FH hate the airbrush look.

I did not love the way airbrush made my skin look in real life but it made my skin look great in photos...it felt fine, no different than traditional, but I went with traditional because of the way it looked in real life. Airbrush is great if you have a lot of blemishes and/or oily skin bec it keeps it matte-like all day. HTH!!

I had airbrush done for my wedding and traditional done for my epics and bpics. I liked both and actually debated which one I was going to do months leading up to the wedding. In the end I ended up having airbrush because to me it felt lighter on my skin.

Very interesting!! I guess I'll have to try it out and see. Its also a significant amount of money that they add to your makeup if you get it done.. but, I guess it can't hurt to try it out. My FH definitely likes a natural look; and I already know I want to get some fake eyelashes.. so I don't want to go TOO crazy, you know?! But I guess the airbrush looks natural??

I did airbrush for my wedding and was def skeptical @ first b.c i thought it would be cakey...I used Jacqueline Nicole who specializes in airbrush and she convinced me to try it during the trial. She promised to do a 2nd trial with traditional if I didn't like it. I loved it! It felt light and it looked flawless. I did not feel like it looked un-natrual at all! It is completely water, tear, and sweat proof. However, Jacqueline let me know that there is a specific way to do it and training that is required to learn how to properly apply it. She said some MU may not be well versed in airbrushing which could leave a person not being a fan of how it looks and feels! She said it is a true science which alot of people don't realize! So, I say to research your MU if you are interested in airbrush.

You can fo course talk to your make up artist about how natural or dark you want your makeup.. like eye shadows, etc. I am having atrial on march 12th with Maira Ortiz and will post some pics in my album.

Re: Airbrush makeup?

I think it really depends on your skin - my skin is generally oily and absorbs everything that I try to put on it. Airbrushed foundation won't do that - I've had it done for 2 weddings - it stayed on until the next morning, and I didn't look shiny. But I know a lot of girls who simply don't need it, and have just as much luck with traditional makeup. I normally wear traditional foundation and powder, though, and I didn't really feel like the airbrush kind felt different to me. It just stays - and if it's done right, it will completely cover all skin imperfections.
