airbrush makeup for oily skin?

airbrush makeup for oily skin?

I've heard really good things about airbrush makeup, but my skin tends to get oily so I'm wondering if airbrushing is the way to go.

my skin can get oily---especially cause i tend to sweat a lot. (i was worried about it so much on the big day!) but the make up stayed

i would go for an airbrush trial with someone first ,and see how it stays on ya.

Ask the makeup artist her opinion.
Do a trial and see how long it lasts on your skin.

Re: airbrush makeup for oily skin?

I had an airbrush trial with maureen pedala and i asked her about all of this and here is the info i was told...I brought this up bc it felt so light didnt feel like i had anything on and i asked her how come other girls think the opposite, so here goes:

She said she used a water-based foundation for the airbrush, which is the lightest one and also doesn't streak and won't effect you if you have oily skin

there are others who use silicone based. And infact many of them use this one...If you have oily skin or even previously wash your face with any products with any oil in it, it can make your make up streak and it also feels heavier.

then theres a 3rd one that is only used for professional photo shoots, models use it...it is extremely heavy and they use it bc in pics it gives that shiny, glowy skin.

ask the MU artist what kind of foundation she is using for the airbrush, whether it is water based or silicone...honestly i think they should be the ones asking you regardless, and using the right type of make up for that persons skin tone.

i have the worst oily skin. I got my makeup airbrshed and it was great. They also put on an oil control lotion before the makeup and it really helped!!

I have really oily skin and was also hesitant about airbrushing. I went for a make-up trial last night and voiced my concerns about the airbrush. The artist uses a water-based and said it would actually be better than regular foundation so I went for it. I loved how the airbrush felt and looked. Pics in my album if you'd like to see.
