I have really, really sensative skin, and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the airbrush makeup? It just seems like it would be lighter than regular foundation and what not. I don't even wear anything on my face b/c my skin is so sensative so I am a little worried about putting any makeup on my face for the wedding. Can someone give me a review of the airbrushing? Or recommend something that is okay for my skin?

Re: Airbrush okay for skin?
Honestly it kind of bothered my skin. I have really really dry skin and the airbrush foundation dryed me out. I have since discovered Aveen eczema care lotion and my skin has been amazingly better so i think i solved my problem. Go for a trial and make sure to keep it on for at least 8 hrs so you can get a feel for what i might do to your skin. Another suggestion is to find someone who specializes in using bare minerals, which are light and supossed to be better for sensitive skin. HTH

Re: Airbrush okay for skin?
My skin is pretty sensitive and i loved the airbrush b/c it was light and my skin reacted fine to it.
You should definately get a trial done to see how you react. I am using a make-up artist that is also a licensed estitician (sp?) so she would be good for you b/c shes very knowledgable about skin.
Her name is Meadow (Faces by Meadow) - i dont have her number on me but her email is [email protected]
Good luck

I actually love it better than the regular makeup they use. I have very sensitive skin. I can't use things with fragence in them. The only moistrizer (spelled wrong) I can use is Oil of Olay. But as far as Airbrushing, it stays on the whole day and I have never had a break out or anything bad happen to my face afterwards. I have had it done about 4-5 times before and no bad things have ever happened. Try Kacey she is a vendor on here. Khouloud's Beauty (516) 236-0973

Re: Airbrush okay for skin?
I tried the airbrushing but didn't like it so much, it felt a little heavy on my skin... And I am SO SENSITVE as well, I wanted to get something that would not irritate me, I was afraid the airbrushing would..... Then my makeup person then tried the Bare Escentuals mineral makeup and it was HEAVEN!!! It took a little tweaking to get the look we wanted, but it was heavenly. I had it on all day, needed only a few touchups, looked great in pix, and I had NOOOOOO irritation whatsoever.
And this from the woman who's ended up in the ER a number of times with allergic reactions to some skin products!!! If you haven't tried BE give it a shot! HTH
Oh hi again, if you're near Queens one of our NWs works at thd BE store at queens center mall... she's an EXPERT with BE makeup!!!!

Re: Airbrush okay for skin?
i would suggest going for a trial and seeing how your skin reacts to it bcuz everyone is different. I have extremely sensitive skin thats oily in some places and really dry in others. i loved the airbrush makeup! not for everyday use obviously but i did a trial and left it on ALL DAY LONG and my skin was fine. for everyday use i use bare esentials or mineral foundation from Mac.

I wanted to use airbrushing originally, but a couple of makeup artists told me to avoid it because it tends to make you break out. I think this might be best if your skin isnt so perfect.

I have a theory its those makeup artists that just don't know how to use it or don't want to pay the money for the expensive equipment... and I'm so sick of LIW vendors who are all 'oh yeah we do airbrush' then you show up and they don't even have the airbrush makeup setup. Then tell you, 'oh most brides don't like airbrush' 'you only need airbrush if you have ugly skin' 'airbrush looks fake' ... seriously I'm sick of it.
If they know what they are doing they will use water based canned airbrush if they don't they will just whine about it.
I think I might just buy the damn machine and DIY it!
