Can any of you girls recommend a salon where I can go for the airbrush tanning? I would prefer to go to the city or nassau county.
Thanks!

Re: Airbrush tanning
Hot Tan in Rockville Center, its 50 dollars for the entire body and 30 from the stomach up....much better price than what you would find in the city

Re: Airbrush tanning
That's definitely a better price than the place I was going to suggest. I went to Paul Labrecque in the city. It was $78 and lasted about 4 days. The good thing about it though was that the person applying it can countour the tan to make you look thinner in certain areas. Not sure if every place does this. I've also heard great things about Brazil Bronze and I think they're in the $60 dollar range.
Can someone explain to me what this is and how it works? It sounds interesting. Thanks.

At the place I went to, I had to strip down to nothing (always traumatizing--I was expecting that I'd be able to at least wear disposable undies). Then the woman threw on her goggle and started spraying me with this aerosol-type can filled with tanner. At some point, this starts to look like a bad prison movie because I have to put my hands against the wall for her to spray them. This whole time you're also standing next to a fan which helps the tanner dry. At the end the woman took one of those foam brushes (sort of like you might use to paint the corners of a room) and blended all of the tanner to make sure there were no streaks and this is also I guess where she does some of the contouring in addition to whatever she did while she was spraying. You have to wear loose dark clothing for a few hours and you can't wear a bra since the color might come off. You also can't shower for about 12 hours. It really looks good though even when you just finish. I'm pretty fair with blonde hair and blue eyes and this looked totally natural, not at all like a fake tan. Hope this helps!

Re: Airbrush tanning
How long does it last for? If you do it for your wedding, will you not be able to tan over it on the HM?

Re: Airbrush tanning
The one I got lasted about 4 days and it may have lasted longer had I exfoliated with a salt scrub before I got the tan, which is what they recommend. If you do this for your wedding, definitely don't do it the day of because it will come off all over your dress. I went to Florida the day after we got the tan and I was able to get tan while we were down there. The only thing was that you couldn't tell at first which part of my tan was from the airbrush or the sun, but after the airbrush fades away you can see the tan. I'm not sure if this is what you mean by whether you can 'tan over it.' The only reason I knew how long the airbrush lasted is my face never gets tan, so I could tell when it was gone.
