i spoke with a salon recently who said airbrush makeup is better for people who rarely wear makeup ... she also said it lasts longer.
is that true? i've pretty much heard airbrush is less comfortable and feels heavier than regular makeup ... and that it can last just as long as traditional makeup.
i'm currently booked for regular makeup - should i switch? (my makeup artist can do both)

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
I had my airbrush trial a few weeks ago and I think it came out perfect. It felt so much lighter than traditional make up and everyone said my skin looked flawless.
Why dont you try and set up a trial and see how you like it?

i think you should have a trial bc it's different for everyone! i thougth the airbrush felt heavier than the traditional and didn't like the way it made my skin look...

I don't really wear that much makeup and I found that I liked traditional much better. The airbrush felt too heavy for me and I didn't like the way it looked close up. Definitely do a trial and see for yourself because I think it really depends on the person.

I did regular for my trial and airbrush the day of (because it was so humid). I couldn't feel a difference, but I always wear makeup.

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
I only wear mineral makeup and I had a quick airbrush trial and while it did feel a bit heavier than what I'm used to as a light makeup wearer, as the night went on, I forgot about it. And it was totally worth the staying power, it continued to look great all night, so I think I'm going with airbrush.
If I had better skin, I might go traditional, but I'm usually red and blotchy and uneven and prone to breakouts. I feel like the airbrush gave me the coverage I Was looking for for photos.

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
i had an airbrush trial but didn't love it. It felt heavy and it covered a lot of my freckles, which I love! So I am going with traditional makeup.

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
I read an article about air-brush that said it cant be touched up and that if you cry you could end up with streaks- not sure how true it is. I had a trial with traditional and airbrush- my freckles were actually more covered with the traditional than the airbrush- and the airbrush felt lighter- I guess it depends on how heavy they go.

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
Well, I had a trial yesterday and my original m/u artist and the new girl both agreed that they prefer traditional. The girl told me that she is basically using the same formula that she would have put in the airbrush machine. And I did actually cry after my trial and it didn't streak at all. Soooo, find out what foundation your m/u artist is using. If it's waterproof then it doesn't really make a difference. Plus, it's more expensive for the airbrush.

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
i had a trial for both and loved regular much better. my sister however swears by airbrush. mine i thought looked cakey. i think it depends. if you have a good makeup artist, either will look awesome. it's more a personal preference. i would try them both!

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
While I have never had air brush makeup, I went to a wedding last year and the bride looked so fake. It was the makeup, although she thought she looked great, I thought she looked orange.

I had a trial with airbrush and I absolutely loved it!!! I guess it all depends on how it looks and feels on your skin. Maybe get a trial with both.

Re: airbrush vs regular makeup
I had my trial for airbrush and I LOVED it. I will never go back to traditional makeup. I guess it depends on the makeup artist. Mine did an amazing job and it looked so natural and flawless and it photographed great in the natural light. We had our epics on the beach and I didn't get shiny or anything.
Everyone has thier own preferences I guess. Your makeup aritist can do half and half on your face and you can compare!
