Airbrush VS. Traditional Make-up

Airbrush VS. Traditional Make-up

What is the difference?
What would you recommend for a July wedding / AKA HOT WEATHER?

(My skin is normal - more dry than oily)

Thanks

JMO~ I had my makeup trial a couple of weeks ago with airbrush and I loved it. My skin is very oily and regular makeup is usually off in a few hours. I washed my airbrush off the next afternoon. I couldn't believe it! Anything that's gonna stay on while I'm crying all over the place is worth every penny

ditto. I have always been a believer in traditional makeup, until i had an airbrush trial - it was amazing. so light on your skin and long-lasting.

I also recm'd you get airbrush - especially in that heat.

I'm probably the only person on here that's going to tell you that I didn't like airbrush makeup....although it felt very light, it looked very strange on me in pictures....I looked like a mannequin...definitely NOT natural, at least for me. And, I used a very well known vendor on this site.

I agree, the staying power of airbrush totally clobbers traditional application. My face just absorbs makeup by the end of the day, so I needed something to last throughout as well as the sudden outbursts of emotion!

I have to agree. Also after a couple of hours the wringles around my eyes really stood out and they looked really cracky. I went with traditional and it stayed on all day. Everyones different, go for a trial.

I second that! I tried airbrush and it looked horrible on me, so I did traditional. To keep the traditional lasting you need to get a pressed powder and you will be fine! My makeup lasted all day. Like everyone else, you will need to keep re-applying lipstick. I

I agree with airbrushing looks better and more flawless especially in pictures and my photographer recommends it because that is what professionals use and it makes you look more natural in pictures and it stays on longer.

yeah i love the airbrushing--i dont want to have to worry about sweating it off or it rubbing off on my FH or having to re-apply a lot. also, when you kiss guests and hug them it doesn't come off--on your dress or their clothes! My friend had it and it was like her make-up was weightless. really cool!

I did Airbrushing and i LOVED it! I wish I could do it everyday. It was light, looked natural, and it lasted all night long and never caked!

ditto- I loved it too! I had trials with both traditional and airbrushing and preferred how airbrushing looked on me. Maybe you should try both and see which one you like better.

Don't know if you read my review, but i had a big long saga about makeup.

Since i really don't wear a lot of makeup, i couldn't fathom doing the airbrushing thing. I just didn't think it woud look natural.

I felt much more comfortable in traditional makeup and it lasted great! Just make sure you have on waterproof mascara. I did, but i can't imagine what happens to those who forget.

My pictures turned out great with traditional makeup as well.

WAHOO!!!! I agree with you completely!!!! I hated it, I looked so plastic, I felt it on me, I dont know why. I went for a trial with a VERY well know artist who is not a liw vendor and I just didnt love it. I am going for a 2nd trial this saturday with Ann Demarco and I will let you know.

I had a trial with Ann Demarco and I loved it. I booked her for my day. I am actually going for another trial on the 25th just to try something a little different. I went with the airbrush and she doesa fabulous job!
