Airline Travel

This is a mini-vent .. why is it cheaper to book a flight from point A to point C by going through point B for a change-over??!!

I'd like to be able to get down to Atlanta, but am finding that the cheapest fare I can get is by going through Birmingham .. I hate the idea of change-overs .. and I hate that it practically doubles the travel time.

I don't know whats going on with Atlanta...but my friend is having the same problem...


3 of us in 3 areas of the country are meeting in Phoenix...NY friend got $177...Atlanta friend can't find for under $400!!!

then I told her to come to San Diego for $350 and drive with me...the stop over is in Phoenix!! I just don't get whats going on with Atlanta!!!

I don't know why they are black out dates??? spring break?

Wow .. that's a long black-out period! But you might be right .. Spring Break, I guess. But still, what's the idea for charging more for direct flights???
