Aisle Runner?

Is anyone not having one? I'm not sure if I really want one or not. My dad doesnt have the best balance and I am scared he will trip or any of our friends and family will trip on it. What is everyone else doing?

I wasnt going to but then my florist just threw it in for free so I thought why not. .. but I don't think it's necessary so if you think it might be bad for your dad, I wouldnt do it!

We are definitely not having one. I don't see any reason.

I have seen pictures and they can look lovely for the one shot up the aisle, but other than that, there's no purpose. We're getting married at the RH, though, so maybe that's also part of why it doesn't seem necessary.

Our priest strongly discourged us for having one...he said they have had problems with them in the past. I am guessing people tripped.

I wonder if the guest would have a problem tripping if it was tapped down on the sides. I think if you do that, it may not cause someone to trip.
