Re: Aisle Runner a No No???
I recently found this out about my church as well!!! They said it was a safety thing and that they just put down a new carpet that will take the place of runners.... but it's GREEN. And not a nice green. It's very odd, but what can you do, right?

Yeh, some churches don't allow them. FSIL's wedding was Saturday, and her church didn't allow them. Honestly, you couldn't even notice!

Re: Aisle Runner a No No???
My aunt got married there and since they re-did the floors it IS super slippery, so I could definetly see why they wouldn't want an aisle runner.
I think it will look amazing anyway...St. Anne's is one of the most beautiful churchs on LI (IMO) and I don't think you should worry.

Re: Aisle Runner a No No???
it's sad that because of the way the world is (lawsuits etc...) that traditional things like an aisle runner arent allowed anymore in a church....

Re: Aisle Runner a No No???
my church hasn't said anything like that so far... i mean when i was in my girlfriends wedding she had a runner and a flower girl who was supposed to throw petals even though she didnt..lmao... so i'm hoping none of this will be a problem... that really stinks :(
