aisle runner help please!

I am getting ready to work on my aisle runner but I am a little confused. Where does the aisle runner start from, the alter or the back? Where do I put my monogram? I also bought a 100 foot aisle runner and found out that my aisle is about 7 feet should I cut it? TIA!!!!

It will start at the back of the church and be rolled up to the alter. Since your ailse is only 7 feet long I would prolly cut at least some of it off. Or, just try to return it to get the 50 foot. For my runner I put the monogram about 2 feet from the end. With my church I will have the middle aisle blocked off, but the runner will start as soon as you step foot into the chapel. The monogram I positoned so it'll be about 4-5 pews up from the back, where everyone will enter. You don't have to make it the exact length of the aisle b/c it gets rolled up to the alter and is usually out of the way... HTH

I always see it start and secured at the altar that way any excess is just stepped over by the bride and her escort. So if your roll is longer than the aisle it is also not an issue and you don't need to worry about cutting.
