Aisle Runner Scenario - Thoughts Please

So I am planning on a DIY monogrammed aisle runner, I haven't started it yet but need to soon. Here is my scenario for using it. Any thoughts or similar plans/experiences - please share. If this has been asked recently I do apologize in advance.

My church has 3 aisles - two outer and one center. I am planning on displaying my aisle runner from the very start of the ceremony, roping off the center aisle until the start of the processional. Guests will be ushered down the outer two aisles to take their seats. My entire processional will be walking down the center aisle and over the runner, not just FG's, Dad and I.

We did the same exact thing except we didnt rope it off, we had the ushers escort the people around and we had two people standing at the end greeting guests and having them walk around. It worked out really well.

I think that sounds great- I love the idea that it will be rolled out before the ceremony so everyone can see it- otherwise, people probably wouldnt realize that it was anything different from an ordinary aisle runner.
