Okay, this may be a stupid question, but when do you roll the aisle runner out? Do they do it before the weddings start or can they do it right before the flower girl comes out? Has anyone been to a wedding when it was rolled out right before the flowergirl came out?

Re: Aisle runner: When do you place it?
I have seen it done right before the bridal party walks down and also right before the bride walks down.

I always thought it was just before the bride. At least that is what I am doing.

I've only seen it done just before the bride, but I guess you can probably do whatever you want.

My runner will be there before anyone gets there because it needs to be set up with flowers etc - but i don't know if it makes a difference but we are getting married at the catering hall

Re: Aisle runner: When do you place it?
it depends....
say you have seats that prevent ppl from walking down the middle (guest must get to seats from the outer edge) you can put it down in the beginning....
normally, right before brides gets down (i dont like it cause it kinda slows and breaks things up). depending on the length of runner, i could take a few mintues

Re: Aisle runner: When do you place it?
Thanks. for the information. I was wondering if it would take too long to bring the runner out. I'm thinking about getting a personalized runner, so maybe I will put it out in advance in order to get the most out of it.
Oh, for those of you that said you saw a runner placed right before the bride. Do you remember who unrolled it? Was it an usher or just some random person?

we had the middle of our aisle block so you had to enter from the sides.
alise runner is a 'special or sacard' place for the bride to work ...the rose petals the flower girls throw have the same meaning
