Aisle Runners and Outdoor Ceremonies

Aisle Runners and Outdoor Ceremonies

I really want an aisle runner but I am beginning to hear horror stories about aisle runners not being safe on the grass.
Any suggestions? Is this true? Is there a aisle runner that is more solid on grass?

TIA

The don't lie flat on the grass and tend to buckle on the edges.
I am not doing a runner at all, even if we hold the ceremony is indoors. I can just see myself tripping on it.

I looked into it and I think you can get aisrunners that are more like a carpet...really thick.

i would not recommend aisle runners, unless they are really thick, for grass

I've been to 2 outdoor ceremonies with runners... one of them kept blowing away, despite always being re-tacked down, and both of them shifted around and tore in numerous areas....

in the end, I think in both cases, they detracted from not only the decorations, but also the ceremony itself, since they were constantly fussing with the thing...

not to mention our grand aunts (in their 70's) felt very uneasy walking on it to get to their seats...

wonder if there's a company that makes runners for outdoor ceremonies.... ones that behave a bit better on grass than the traditional ones

We're having an outdoor ceremony and not having a runner - I know I would trip and fall flat on my face.

I was going to do a bamboo type matt, but after laying it out in my backyard and testing it, I decided on NO runner...it was shifting and buckling as i tried to walk..the aisle decorations i have will be enough :)
