ALaska for Bush

Is anyone else a little shocked by this, doesn't Bush totally want to dig up Alaska?

Most of Alaska is uninhabited. Thats the places he wants to dig up. The cities like Juneau and Anchorage I hear are very nice. He won't be touching those.

I also heard that they have a Repulican govenor & she (I think it is a woman) has turned the economy of the state around, so many people ther are hopeful a Republican president will do the same.

oh okay, it is just that my sister is total green peace, and alaska is such a priority for her, that I could not figure out why they would be for this, thanks

ONe of my friends went to Alaska in the summer and was speaking with family she was visiting there. They told her that a lot of people that live there are not against drilling for oil there.

Alaska usually votes republican, and a lot of people in alaska (I saw some guy on the news, i forget the context) was talking about how he hates environmentalists and people trying to 'preserve' alaska..because he says the people need jobs, and they should ask the alaskans what they think, and he gave the impression that alaskans were for it b/c it would boost their economy
