Alcohol for the E-Party

Alcohol for the E-Party

Hey Ladies,

I have a question about alcohol at the E-Party and I wanted to know what you ladies did or plan or doing for alcoholic beverages at your E-Party.

We are renting a hall in Nassau for our E-Party and are set on not having any hard liquor to save $$$ and because we have some particular family members who we are afraid will get drunk and loose lipped at out party.

We were thinking about compromising and just having wine and champagne.

What do you ladies think?

we had full open bar. people got drunk...but not out of control...

i think it depends on what you think is best for your guest...i just wouldnt host a party without liquor bc i know our guest like to have a few drinks without getting out of control

we did kinda the same idea we rented aplace but we brought our own drinks... we bought alll the good stuff like absolute.. grey goose, taquilla rose... and the place gave us a keg of any beer we wanted and we put wine on each table and we did a champagne toast as well.. we knew a few ppl would get a lil drunk. and they did but evrything overall was worth it... i would do it again

We had out Eparty at Singletons in Bethpage and just had beer, wine and soda... It was perfect and just enough and those that wanted hard liquor went to the bar.

We weren't going to have liquor but then my parents deciding on getting it. We had a keg and some bottled beer as well as wine, but the liquor went the fastest. My dad had to run out and get more!!!! It can be expensive so it's a nice way to save $$.

our e-party was in the backyard, under a tent - but we just had beer, wine and soda, with 5 bottles of champagne for a champagne toast. It worked out well!

i'd do the unlimited beer, wine, and soda option. and if anyone wants hard liquor--they have to get it themselves.

another idea--have the beer, wine, soda...and maybe a 'signature' liquor drink that you guys can create or just rename. like a martini you name after each other or a fruity drink or something and have some less expensive brand for it.

for example--i'd make a 'Pete & Mel-tini' for FH and i and make some kind of fruity cosmo or something, and when people order the 'Pete & Mel-tini' they'd get that drink!

HTH!

You do what you have to do. Unlimited beer, wine, and soda could be good but these people are not kids anymore, they should know when to say stop drinking.
Fi and I talked about the same thing when we booked our e-party.

I'd say do the beer, wine, soda thing and your usual champagne toast. Your not made of money, and people should be understanding. You do have to know when to say enough is enough. The above is plenty. Good Luck and have fun!!!!

Thanks ladies, I think your right. . . I think we will stick with the beer, wine & soda option

Now question number 2:
Where can I buy cases of beer and wine wholesale for great deals? How much do we need for about 75-100 people? Where did you ladies purchase from and how much did you buy?

I had my e-party in the backyard. We had beer, wine and soda as well as hard liquor. I made 'specialty drinks' and named them after different wedding things! I didnt have a full open bar, just a few (6) different drinks! People loved it and actually said we should do it at our wedding!

We had a back yard party under tents as well and we did beer wine and soda. We had a bottle of red, white and blush on each table (and of course some back ups)

We had about 80 ppl, and we had a case of white, a case of red, and about 8 cases of beer.

We bought all the wine at Bottle Bargains in Ft Salonga, and the beer at a BD
