Alex has a 103!!!!!!!!

My poor baby got the virus Brian just had.. All day yesterday he had a 103 temp.. his fever was less today.. but not by much.

He's all squirmy and uncomfortable, his body feels like hes on fire.. The Dr. says to keep giving him baby tylenol and Motrin to break and keep the fever down, but it has to run its course!!

I feel so bad for him! My poor baby!

awe - poor thing I've found Motrin to work best. YOu can also try to give him a cool, not cold bath. Keep him hydrated, don't worry if he doesn't want to eat and most importantly lots of TLC.

I'm so sorry to hear that!!! I also read somewhere that although our natural instinct would be to keep him really warm, that's not true, and the opposite is just the thing - you should make sure he's not dressed too warmly. Dressing him in lighter clothing will allow the heat to escape his little body and will cool him down. Good luck, sweetie!!!

thank you ladies... as always for the great support! He's such a cuddly-boo today! Understandably so! His temp is down around 100 now.. Yes motrin has been working best.

We have a Spanish backround, so my mom gave me a alcohol and bay leaf oil based solution to rub on him... I sponged him down with it last night and then this morning... I feel so bad for him.. Hopefully he will go back to the (literally) bouncing biy he usually is!
