alias - need to let it out.

alias - need to let it out.

guys...I never in a million thought i'd need to make an alias to say what i feel in my heart on here...but unfortunately...to protect my identity and relationships with the persons involved i have to.

I am so incredibly hurt right now...I never could forsee anything but pure happiness for me from my family and friends...but I just found out the reality that this is not necessarily the case. Someone very close to me has made comments in regards to my wedding and eluded to the fact that its all 'for show' instead of about our true love for one another. this couldn't be further from the truth. my FH is my soul mate, my best friend ...and we've waited a long time for the day we say our vows. is it a crime that we wanted to make sure we got exactly what we dreamed of?? does this make us any less in love?

Absolutely not. Unfortunately there will always be someone that has something negative to say. A lot of times it's someone in our own families and it really *****. I'm sorry you're going through this, but just try your best to ignore it and continue planning your dream wedding!

I have come to realise that peoples ture colors come out during wedding time. I too want the best for my day and some have said some things are rude or for show but you know what its our day and we want it our way!!!!!!

I've learned myself lately that weddings bring out the WORST in people... anger, bitterness, jealousy... it hurts, especially when it comes from someone that is important to you... realize, though, that people usually spout things they don't really mean b/c they're just trying to distract themselves from their own inadequacies.

what hurts me even more is this person feels that I did not do as much for them for their wedding as is being done for mine...I had just gotten into financial obligations with a home and gotten engaged at the time...i was the only BM so there was nobody to help with costs of a bridal shower or bachelorette...i couldn't afford to do more than what i did...I never thought it was an issue...I thought i did the best with what i had and it was appreciated...but now that other people are pitching in to host something special for me...the truth comes out that she feels i didn't do enough for her.

Aw, I'm sorry you're hurt by this. I don't blame you for feeling bad. And, yes, it definitely does hurt more when it comes from people you wouldn't expect that from. Try not to let it upset you too much. I agree too that it sounds like jealousy. You know deep in your heart the love that you have for each other and don't need to justify it to anyone else. And you certainly are entitled to celebrate that love how you choose. Just because you choose to have a nice affair doesn't mean it's for show! It's very true...it's very sad how people seem to behave throughout the planning of a wedding.

Honestly you do what you can to make everyone else's day special and those who you think are your family and friends turn on you and never want to talk or hear about the details...this girl is obviously jealous as is my sister so dont stress out over it just enjoy you time....this is your time and dont let her ruin it for you...know u did the right thing and if u know it thats all that really matters anyway...SHES BITTER!!!!!!!!!

people have said that about me and my FH and our wedding too.. that it's 'for show' and that 'we're too young to get married' (HTF is 23 too young when we're both working professionals for 2 years now?!??!) but you know what.. people are jealous out there.. who cares what they say? that's what i learned.. you and FH know that you love each other.. it's your wedding day.. don't let the haters ruin it or get to you

sounds like jealousy!!

as long as you know the truth- scew them!!

People like to talk and will always talk, but most know the truth of why you are getting married and will be hapy for you.

Awww sorry to hear that you are going through such a stressful time, you should be concentrating on the happiness that you and FH have. Do what you want, what makes you 2 happy, because when you look back you are only going to remember the good (hopefully). Try and forget about it, what others do for you is out of your hands. And its pure jealousy, she is envious of what you have. Try to move on from this and enjoy what you and FH have and are planning for your new beginning together.

Honestly I think you should confront her. Make sure you are calm and state your opinion without being defensive. Hopefully she will understand then what you are about!

Since I have been engaged people think I am obsessed with wedding planning, which couldn't be farther from the truth! I try to take it in stride and not react to their comments!

that's really unfair. when FH's brother got married we were broke and couldn't afford to contribute much at all, and we weren't even able to give as much of a gift as i wish we could have. but now that we're getting married, they have done SO much for us...b/c they are in a financial situation where they can do it...and b/c that's what family/good friends do.

i'm sorry, that's so sad that you have to go through something like that. but YOU know what your wedding is really about. don't let what someone else says get to you.

if you need to talk please FM me. i hope you feel better!
