How funny is this post!! I just went there on Saturday night to have dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday. We sat in the non-smoking room, and we saw where the room divider was. The room looked plenty big to have a private room for a shower. The food was good too, and our service was nothing to complain about. We hadn't been there in ages, and decided to go to see how it's changed over the years. Still a great place and good food.

Alias Smith & Jones - Caution
I used to love this restaurant. But last year I went with a group of friends and I had an awful experience, A waitress spilled red wine on my friends White Cashmere sweater. The restaurant would not pay to replace the sweater once the dry cleaner could not clean the stain. We had so many arguments with the restaurant with no resolution. It was horrible, I could not believe the way we were treated.

The restaurant is in Oceanside, on Woods Avenue, which is just parallel to Long Beach Road. Jeanene - sorry to hear about your friends sweater, but the mistake of a waitress shouldn't take away from the place or the food. It may be able to accomodate a rehearsal dinner. Maybe you should call and ask though, because I'm not 100% sure. But I do know they have a room to separate a private party in their non-smoking room. They are always crowded, so reservations are a must if you don't want to wait more than a 1/2 hour. Here's a web page with their location and number and a sample menu: http://www.webeteria.com/alias.htm

They def can accomodate a rehearsal dinner --they can do up to 150 but also can do alot smaller-- they almost had my shower there but after realizing that half the people were coming from NJ they wanted something closer to a parkway we are having my mom's 60th birthday there and the people have been great--very friendly when we dropped in!! thanks for the input LauraWelcome New Vendors
