Count me in the group! I am a mess.. I dont have much left to do, just the florists and the little things..I have hair, makeup, DJ, band, dress, ceremony musicians,photo, videography..all the big stuff done..honeymoon booked..now I just need the small things, but there are lots of them! How about you? Thats awesome we have the same date..I will definately be thinking of you on that day..are you having the nightmares yet?

Oh, yeah, violent ones.... like me beating people with the chalis... you have no idea.

I only have to get my favours, place candles & the papers for my Billboards (my alternative to programs). I've just been so busy with school & work & my mom is going through Chemo.... I have No free time!

OH>>IM so sorry about your mom! I will keep her in my prayers..I truly will! That must be tough for you! Ima student too..just not taking summer classes..tahst why I want to have everything done by summer. What are you doing with your billboardss..that sounds cool!!!

Thanks... mom will aprreciate that. I had to take summer classes to graduate on time, and if I want to start grad school on time

Instead of having programs to hand out at the church we are setting up 3 Movie-posters on Easels at each entrance of our church. Our theme is the Golden Age of Hollywood (& of Detroit w/all the classic cars from movies), even though our original theme was a winter weddng, we just jazzed it up a bit.

We are going to take them from the church & then display them at the reception hall. One at the entrance where the place candles will be, one by the BP table & one by the guest book/wishing bowl... they will each be fashioned after a different movie's Billboard.

BTW... I will be thnking of you that day too! What time is your service & where are you having it? (If you want to FM me)

WHAT A COOL IDEA!! I like that with the billboardsds..very creative and I bet it will look so great!! Wow! My ceremony is at the Chapel in the George Washington manor and the ceremony is in the actual building..ceremony is at 630 and cocktail sarts at 7! How about you!??
Ima grad student too..its much easier tahn undergrad..congrats on yoru upcoming graduation!!!! Summer classes are alot of work!! man you must be BUSY!!!!

I am SOOOOO friggin busy.. I took accounting and persuasive speech last summer session & am taking History & ethics this summer session.... it is really looney.

My ceremony is at 1pm at St. Matthias in Queens, & the reception is at 4:30 at the Harbor Club in Huntington. On a funny note, we looked at The GW manor (FH works right down the block from it) & the Roslyn claremont... neither rooom was big enough for our guests... we are considering having the RD at the GW Manor.

I like the billboards, too.....From what I see, most people do not keep, read, or even appreciate the programs...JMO.

and of course I like to do everything differently!

I hope grad school is easier, but I don't think it will be... I am tossing back & forth the idea of getting an MBA, JD or a combined dergee with both. & I am shooting for Ivy League.... I sometimes think I am a masochist

HI! I dont have any planning done other than the hall (even the church wont let me book this early). FH is taking the bar now so serious planning will start in August! I have a lot of the little things and non-vendor related things narrowed down though like invites, place cards, favors (I think..still need to order a sample). I cant wait to go dress shopping though.

What type of dresses are you wearing? And how are you keeping warm? Are you taking any pictures outdoors? (especially if there is a nice light dusting of white snow?)

HI Attica QT and congratulations!!!Im wearing a halter style dress..but with a cape to keep warm. I want some pictures outdoors, especially if there is snow..Im praying for snow..I think it would be beautiful! Thats smart you are starting hings now..Ive been engaged for a while and just started doing everything in May.

AtticaQT -- we got engaged around V-day & are almost completely done. I am wearing a halter dress as well & my auntie is making me a very HEAVILY lined coat (Check Ronnie&theresa's post)

I too, am praying for a light romantic dusting of snow.... BUT FOR THE RECEPTION ONLY.... luckily my reception starts before aliciahelene's so we can both get our wish!!

Also remember, the material that is used to make most wedding gowns is very thick & once you add the 4 million pounds of crinoline & tulle, you have a guarrantee of raising your body temp at least 5-10 degrees! That dress is very warm.
