Alina's journal

Alina's journal

I am trying to tone up and slim my problem areas (thighs/behind/waist)... My budget is 18-23 points

To continue from our WW thread, yesterday, I had 18 pts by the time I left work, and FH cooked some steak by the time I got home... I had a piece, and am counting it as 5 points, I don't really know how much it was, small piece though. I also had a spoonful of peanut butter, and some tomatoes.

I think I went over by a little bit, but I also did a buff brides work out (I am on my 2nd week) so I felt good afterwords.

Today was not so good, I already had 2 cups of coffee, and one regular bagel with fat free cream cheese.

I am estimating the bagel to be 8 points, coffee 2 points, so total 10 points by breakfast time. I am not hungry though, as I have been feeling when I have only one slice of bread.

Good luck Alina, my GF just rejoined WW, I think it is a wonderful program. She has lost so much weight we go to the gym at least 4 times a week. I think with Dedication you can reach your goal. Take care.

Hey hun! My motivator and workout buddy! Your estimate about the steak is about right, that's what I would think. HOw do you like buff brides so far?

They make LIGHT bread now. It's really good and I believe it only counts as 1 point for 2 slices. I use the Rye Light at home.

As for bagels when you cut them take out all the extra bread around the center. You can save a lot of carbs by doing that. :)

Just some helpful tips.

Alinea - even though you used 10pts. at breakast, what you ate was very filling so you wont be so hungry at lunch !!!
Good Luck Today!

Another helpful tip..by eating fiber in the morning it helps keep you fuller longer. If you are going to have a bagel try and make it whole wheat. The best thing to do is to get your carbs from unprocessed natural things such as whole wheat & grains. try and get plently of fruit & veggies!

I have learned sooo much over the last few years. My father is a total heath nut and as taught me a lot about staying fit :)

I have been eating a ton more fruits and veggies, but then I have also been #2ing them more frequently!!! FH says that fiber does that to you?

Yeah...fiber will do that at first until you body gets used to it. It's good though..think of it as getting cleaned out (TMI) It will help you stay full longer.

The other thing that I have found that works...but is really hard for me is portion control. If you eat when you are hungry and eat smaller meals through out the day you stay full. I always ate until i was done and didn't stop when I was full. That was a really hard habit to break and I still have trouble with it.

For lunch I had about 3-4 cups of veggies from mongolian bbq, 2 slices of beef 5 pts.and probably a cup of carrots and chestnuts all together 1-2 pts, plus half a cup of rice - 2 pts.

So far 9 for lunch at most, plus whatever fruit I eat...

Re: Alina's journal

Ok, I have been ignoring my journal lately, it all started with a dim-sum on saturday

I am afraid to count my saturday points - cereal, dim-sum and then bass in some kind of oily sauce!!!

Sunday was better, cereal, smoked salmon sandwich (12 pts) and salad with salmon (6pts). I had a coffee on each of those days too.

Monday was ok, muffin and coffee (7pts), then pizza with sausage and shrimp, but small slice (counting it as 8pts) with root beer (3pts)... Then, one point ice cream from machine, and a cup or two of cereal and some gultless chips at night... I think i went over by a few points there.

Today, so far, eggs (5pts), fruit(1pt), coffee(1pt) and some home fries (probably 3 points based on the guide, and about 2 table spoon serving that i had) = 10 pts total.

Then subway roast beef (5pts), and chips (3pts)...

Now up to 18, and hopefully won't exceed it by too much in the evening.

I have to go to the gym today, I haven't been there since thursday!!!

Re: Alina's journal

Ok, I have avoided my journal and have not been able to stay on WW!!! I am trying, but counting the points is super hard for me.

I finally went to the gym yesterday and did 30 mins of cardio and a set of buff brides....

I am going back on track!!!

Edited for spelling
