All books wedding related

My friend bought me this awesome planner when I got engaged... I picked up a few Brides magazines, but have not really read anything about weddings besides what I see on the internet...

Do you have a wedding book you can not live without? A subscription to Modern Bride? What are your references?

Let's see, Wedding planning for Dummies was extremely helpful to me although if you've been on this board and read a lot of threads you can pretty much write your own bridal book. Unlike a lot of books it's really diverse so if for example your marrying someone of a different ancestor y/religion or if even you are Christian they suggest many ways to incorporate both sides. Like me, I am more spiritual than religious and FH is a devout catholic, it showed me how to mesh to the two comfortably. There is also a book at Barnes and Nobles I believe it's called InStyle Weddings it's mostly pictorial and humongous and really nice to gleam over. I'm a geek. So I sit at BN for hours just reading books and now, browsing through wedding materials.

A lady who goes to the same hair salon as me gave me her book (she's an 08 bride) called, 'Bridal Bargains.' It was pretty helpful and validated some of the things I was already thinking. I used to be a big magazine junkie but then I realized I was wasting a lot of money and not getting as many ideas from them. To get around that, I am going to try to go to as many bridal shows as possible- they give out tons of magazines!

because we did our registries for the engagement party I have a subscription to Brides Magazine (Macys) and Bridal Guide (Bed Bath and Beyond).
