All brides/wives please help me

Hi All,
I am new to this site, but just recently engaged-

Please, I need serious help. I need recommendations on reception sites. Originally I wanted to do something in the South, but that's not going to pan out because the wedding reception MUST be Glatt Kosher.

Here's what I'm looking for:
A unique, but formal and fun reception site that can hold around 300 people for a seated dinner, with a dance floor. And of course, the catering/food must be Glatt Kosher.
I live in Manhattan, but a Long Island wedding is just fine, as long as the place is really special. I am looking for a location that speaks for itself, not a space that is an empty shell with no pre-existing decor.

Can anyone recommend any locations? Everyone on this site seems so helpful, and really knows what they are talking about. I am originally from South Carolina, living here for 6 years, but I don't really know the Long Island area too well.

Thank you all so much! This is been very difficult for me and I am seriously thinking about going to Vegas and getting married by Elvis!

Congrats on your engagement!!!

My wedding had to be Glatt Kosher too. We booked and had our wedding at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury which is beautiful. They do Glatt Kosher and will give you the certificate to show it's Glatt as well.

My SIL as well as my father's entire side of the family are strictly Orthodox, our ceremony was performed by my rabbi I grew up with (Lubavitch). DH and I are no means religious but wanted to respect our families.

HTH

FM me if you need details.

ETA: The Crest Hollow can accomodate 300 people, we invited 490 people to the wedding. We ended up with just under 300 and the room was nice and not crowded at all.

My BF is jewish and she got married at crest hollow. I think she also looked at a number of temples in the LI area too.

some great sites are vanderbilt musuem in centerport,
condre hall in huntington
both let you pick your own caterer - one i believe is Glatt is Philip Stone Caterers - i would check what other sites they handle - may be able to do a vineyard too

There are so many places in the Cedarhurst/Lawrence area. There is Sephardic, Temple Beth-El, etc. Do not worry, you'll find something. If you are looking for good savings, try East Meadow Jewish Center or Crest Hollow Country Club.

Maybe The Sands in either Lido Beach or Atlantic Beach could accommodate you.

Try Temple Beth Sholom on Roslyn road or Shelter Rock Jewish Center on Shelter Rock Road in the Searingtown/Herricks Area or the Woodbury Jewish Center in Woodbury. I know WJC is glatt.

A friend of mine got married at Temple Israel in Lawrence and it was one of the most beautiful temples I have ever been to. And it was glatt kosher with amazing food. Not something you find too often.
