All Hail the Mighty Midget Hot Dog- King of the Hor D'oeuvres

That was the title of an article in this month's Suffolk Lawyer Newspaper, written by the president of the Suffolk Bar Association!!!! It was the first article that I read when I got this month's paper. The author's daughter was married this past year. Was she an LIW bride? She must have had some wedding, as her father is a very accomplished man. Anyway, he discussed the various events he attends all year, and the fact that the mini-hotdogs (aka Pigs in Blankets) are always the best part.

What I LOVE LOVE LOVE is that he hinted that the bar association considered not serving mini hotdogs at future events because there is other finger food that costs less. However, he feels that the hot dogs are worth the extra cost!! It must be nice to have veto power over some types of decisions!

Oh, he was somewhat apologetic that 'midget hotdog' is not a politically correct term. He explained that there was an episode of the Odd Couple in which Oscar Madison referred to them as such.

See girls, we are not the only people who hail the mighty midget hot dog.

Now I have to go and read the rest of the paper so that I know what is going on in the legal world.

The real midget hotdog, is Oscar Mayer Wiener, my dachshund. See my avatar. If he is not there when you come for the GTG, then you may want to skip the pigs in blankets!
