Re: All Inclusive or not???????
Hi! I am going to aruba in august and I struggled with the same thing to either stay in an all inclusive or not. We actually went with not an all inclusive because I heard aruba has amazing resturant and when I totalled it it didn't pay for us to do all inclusive and not eat dinner where we were staying. We also figured that this is bascially the only time we would splurge a little !
Also we figured that we could save a little on drinks cause we heard there are stores where we can get some beers and stuff and get a cooler for the beach.
I hope that helps - I feel like know everything about all the hotels - I researched forever! If you have any other questions let me know

We're doing all-inclusive. We thought it would be worth it to not have to worry about breakfast/lunch and, especially, to not have to worry about drink prices. We still plan on going out to dinner a lot though. But we're willing to spend a little bit more and have to worry about less.

Re: All Inclusive or not???????
I used to go to Aruba every year with my grandpa. We'd stay at LaCabana (timeshare) and was nice for a family vacation, not a honeymoon in my opinion.
The Rui recently opened within the past 3 years and is AMAZING!! I would absolutey stay there!! The pools, beach, hotel and restaurants are gorgeous. AND you wouldn't need to pay for anything else.... except for excursions (Horseback riding, ATV'ing, etc.)
Good Luck & Have Fun!

Re: All Inclusive or not???????
Thanks everyone for your input
I like the idea of bringing the cooler on the beach and I did hear about all the amazing places to stay
The all inclusive is appealing to me because there is always something going on which is good for me because I am a do-er and FH is a relaxer
I will look into the Riu and will share the cooler idea with FH
We want to stay in the Palm Beach area also and the Hayatt and Marriott look amazing
Thanks again ladies

Re: All Inclusive or not???????
We're going to the RIU for our HM next week!!! We've been to several all-inclusives and find that it's worth it for the drinks, breakfast, lunch and snacks alone. We plan on going out to dinner a couple of nights, but if we had to pay for every meal I think it would have been way more expensive.

Im not staying there but Id do all inclusive. That way you don't have to worry about going out and buying anything. If you want to get something extra , you always could do that too.

I have never been to Aruba but in general I am all about the all-inclusive resorts! You really can't go wrong. You don't have to worry about money while you are there because everything is paid before you go (expect if you are buying souvenirs or if you go off the resort for something), you can drink and eat as much as you want whenever you want - it's just the best!
We went to an all-inclusive in Jamaica (Couples Swept Away) and it was probably the best vacation either of us has been on. We were never more relaxed.

we are doing the all inclusive at the Riu. We do plan on going out for dinner majority of the nights but we figured the price difference between the all inclusive and non-all inclusive would pay itself off for breakfast and a few lunches.

I would definately do the all inclusive even if you plan to go out to diner some of the nights for drinks, breakfast, diner, and snacks alone its worth it.

Re: All Inclusive or not???????
i would definitely do all inclusive! even if you decide to go out to dinner every night, the cost of breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, and activities will be well wroth getting the all inclusive and skipping the dinners! we stayed at the occidental grand last year and it was beautiful and the food was great!
