I recently stayed at the Occidental for 10 days... it was nice, but honestly, I don't recommend all inclusive for aruba. You can eat out at place for much less... If anything see if they have an all inclusive drink plan, if not go to the local store and get a bottle...

I stayed at the westin 3 years ago, it was then the aruba resort spa and casino, SOO NICE!! Your going to love it!

The new hotel. The RIU PALACE!!! Unbeliveably beautiful!!! Can't say enough about it!!!

Aruba Divi- we are going at the end of the month but my brother and SIL went two years ago and loved it.

ita! their restaurants are not expensive like ny is. we've gone 2 years in a row and didn't stay at an all inclusive either time. but we like to go out and explore the island.

We stayed at the RIU and it was AMAZING!! Totally reccomend it.
as far as staying at an all-inclusive..i think you should base it on this: are you guys big drinkers? Because there are tons of great restaurants and they're reasonably priced- for the most part. DH & I liked to chill at the pool a lot and have drinks, plus at night, we'd chill at the hotel bars with our HM friends and have drinks...so the all-inclusive made sense for us. We also went out to dinner a few night instead of eating what was included. I think you save money with an all-inclusive, even if you don't have every single meal there.

We stayed at the Occidental for 2 weeks for our HM. We loved it and the food was great! Sometimes these hotels have partial all-inclusive plans, it's something to look into. You may be able to get breakfast and lunch at the hotel but be on your own for dinner.
As for the Westin, it's a wonderful hotel. Jess (Jteach) stayed there on her HM, we were all there the same time and met up for drinks, I remember her saying that the Westin wasn't all-inclusive, but I could be wrong.
